Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, S.27 -- Return of Stridhan -- Absence of Bills or Receipts -- Not sufficient to reject wife's claim of entrustment. Non-production of bills or receipts of Stridhan articles does not by itself disprove that such articles were given at the time of marriage, where the wife specifically deposes that the receipts remain in possession of her in-laws and there is evidence regarding entrustment. Bills are ordinarily retained by the in-laws after marriage, and their absence cannot be held against the wife.
