Registration — Cancellation of Sale Deed — Jurisdiction of District Registrar
The District Registrar has no power to cancel a registered sale deed. The registering authority cannot decide disputed questions relating to civil rights of parties, as such determination falls outside its jurisdiction. Only a competent Civil Court has the authority to declare and adjudicate civil rights of parties – Registration Act, 1908, S. 68(2) (Paras 11 & 15)
