Recruitment to CAPF -- Tattoo on Saluting Arm -- Disqualification upheld; subsequent removal does not cure ineligibility
Central Armed Police Forces Medical Guidelines -- Recruitment to CAPF -- Tattoo on Saluting Arm -- Tattoos are not per se prohibited but must conform to prescribed location, content and size. A tattoo on the right forearm, being the saluting limb, renders a candidate ineligible. Eligibility of a candidate is to be examined as on the last date of submitting the application, and subsequent removal of the tattoo does not cure the ineligibility so incurred.
