Injunction -- Temporary --Ad-Interim Mandatory Injunction To Maintain Status Quo Cannot Be Granted Without Assigning Justifiable Reasons

An ad-interim mandatory injunction directing status quo ante cannot be granted without assigning justifiable reasons and recording a prima facie finding to restore status quo ante. Interim mandatory injunction is not easily granted and is passed only in circumstances where prima facie materials clearly justify a finding that status quo has been altered by one party and interests of justice demand restoration. Reason is the very life of law, and a non-speaking order or an order without justifiable reasons cannot be sustained. Validity of an order must be judged by reasons mentioned therein and cannot be supplemented by fresh reasons in affidavits.
