SC: Partial Debt Acknowledgment Doesn’t Extend Limitation for Full Claim Under Section 18
The Supreme Court held that under Section 18 of the Limitation Act, acknowledgment of only part of a debt does not extend the limitation period for the entire claim. The Court upheld the dismissal of a suit where the debtor had admitted only a fraction of the total amount.
