Senior Citizens -- Property Disputes -- Title and Possession -- Jurisdiction of Authorities Under the Act
The authorities constituted under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 are not meant to adjudicate upon disputes relating to title and possession of immovable properties, more particularly where the parties are not related to each other -- Such disputes can only be appropriately decided by competent civil courts in regular suits--Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, S.22.
