Review -- Scope Confined to Error Apparent on Face of Record -- Review is not maintainable to reargue the matter or seek a rehearing on merits

Civil Procedure Code, 1908, O.47 R.1, S.114 -- Review -- Scope Confined to Error Apparent on Face of Record -- Review is confined to correction of an error apparent on the face of the record, discovery of new and important matter which could not be produced earlier despite due diligence, or any other analogous ground recognized in law. Review jurisdiction cannot be invoked merely because a party is dissatisfied with the conclusions of the court, or to seek a rehearing on merits, or to reargue the matter, or to persuade the court to take another possible view on the same facts. An error requiring a long-drawn process of reasoning, or on which two views are possible, falls outside the scope of review.
