Anticipatory Bail--Parity with Co Accused--Absconder Cannot Claim Anticipatory Bail on Parity with Acquitted Co-Accused
Co-accused acquittal does not ipso facto entitle an absconding accused to anticipatory bail on grounds of parity. Trial court findings recorded during a co-accused's trial are wholly irrelevant to an absconder's bail plea, as the prosecution is not required to lead evidence against an absent accused.
